This is currently a good book with the police men investigating the bodies and trying to find out what animal did it. It's also about the monster that still hasn't been caught by the police men.

Its about when the kids first saw the monster in person when they went outside to the woods. Their is a kid that survives the monster attack and people blame him for it.
