Oof I can already tell this is not likely to be my jam
There’s absolutely no world building or explanation and the way the first chapter dives in there’s… nothing
I’m seeing comments this is just a day to day low/no plot which
Is fine if you like that sort of thing
I’ll give it a few more chapters before I decide to quit or not

Fan fiction feels of OCs. It's a little slow with it's it's day day dialogue and narrative, not as spicy as I was hoping. I'm glad there's an importance on consent and people feeling ready for intimacy, but it just feels like it drags on a little.

You know the feeling of reading a fanfic? It's that just with original characters. That may not make sense because aren't all fiction novels fanfics about the writers characters? Yes. And no. This has the distinct vibe of reading a fanfic. The setting, the voice, the fluff, the smut. Distinctly fanfiction-y. It just reverberates with that mood.

By 10% in they have known each other for like 2 days and are besties. By 15% in they have known each other for like a week, are romantically in love, consider each other "family" (insert Vin Diesel voice), and plan to spend the rest of their lives together. Honestly this book pisses me off.

I'm getting the oddest feeling from the first chapter. We're dropped in as though we should know these people, but they also *literally* just met each other and are skipping the regular introductions and jumping straight into "best friends" stage. I thought I would have liked a situation like that, but I really dislike it here.
