Status Updates From Shadows and Shade Books 1-3...

They just learned that Lithael has likely been releasing Seeds put into a high security prison out and sent them after their pentad.

The mate-bond seems to be affecting Shade pretty hard, too even though it isn't really connected. She goes ballistic when other women hit on the guys or touch the guys or are basically just around the guys.

It's pretty interesting that Shade doesn't have to speak out loud in order to use Seed abilities.

Seems Roarke isn't interested in any other women right now. His Allure has latched on to Shade, which is dangerous because with her being mortal, the guys' powers could kill her. Of course, there's more to Shade than that.

Those five heart threads are for the four of you and I guess one for Thane, too.

Did he kiss her just to test Pax's reaction?

I forgot Seth did that.

She really asked Pax how to break their mate-bond. She didn't mean to, but she hurt his feelings. She just wants to help him because she feels like she's hurting him by being so close to him and the mate-bond has him acting all weird.

Shade is feeling pretty attached to these guys, too and not just because of that bubble that doesn't allow her to be more than a bit away from them. She sure seems to want Pax pretty bad right now.

Apparently, Pax and his wolf aren't bothered by Shade being with one of the others. They are really bothered with even the thought of some guy outside of the group getting anywhere near her.

Whoever this BeastSeed is, he's sadistic.

I love that each of the Elorsins have a different kind of bond that could be formed with Shade since they are each a different kind of Seed. Apparently for Killian, it would be a mate for his DarknessSeed which could forge a soul-bond.

Seth is really happy about Pax being able to become his wolf again. Killian isn't happy about the reason behind it, though.

Some random bad guy just licked Shade's face, but Pax just took care of him.

Finishing up this re-read since True Histories is out and then the first part of Pax's book is out in a few days. At this point, the guys are still trying to discourage Shade from wanting them, but thanks to the Mate bond with Pax, that's not working out so well.

I quit this which is unusual. I just didn’t care for it.

Finished book 2
This is still good. Slow but the world building and character interactions keeps me reading. Still unraveling all the technicalities around the Sabres and Crown but I think I understand. It does distract me though from the flow of the story. Overall though I’m curious enough to read Book 3

Finished book 1
Very slow burn - and a bit confusing. Lots of layers to understand about the world. Characters are still unpacking - I think it would have been useful to have been in multiple POV as so to understand the guys better and the reasoning behind their decisions. I’m still a bit lost in what is going on- liking Seth. Not sure about Shade yet.
Will continue onto book 2.
