Status Updates From BrOKen: Living with EDS and...

This is not a book I can read for a long stretch of time. I find myself doing symptom comparisons and I end up just feeling bad about not pushing through when other people have it worse. I plan on finishing this book, but it will take some time.

I realize now that as a child, my terrifying & extremely painful experiences of my knee randomly getting “stuck” in a sitting position were probably EDS-related subluxations or dislocations. MDs couldn’t figure out what was going on & my knee eventually stopped misbehaving. Anytime I get a sliding or clicking feeling in my knee, I freeze. The memory will never fade. I’m grateful to have a logical explanation.
