Status Updates From Letters in the Dark

This frantic back and forth timeline is pissing me off

No rating. Didn’t read far enough. Writing style threw me—disjointed and awkwardly simple (also, silly spelling mistakes).
Flashbacks from hours to years in only several chapters (ugh).

This is super dark but so, so well done

I can't read this book. I'm not in the right mental place for this. It's just too dark and the writing too simple.

Well, I've only found 1 typo so far, so that is good.
The story is intriguing, but...
I would like a bit more action. No real adult sex scenes yet. And really not much interaction between the two.
It is very different. We will see....

Chapter 7       27 years before the Cage, Age 4

Not sure how I feel about the past/present thing.
Normally that would annoy me, but the way it is in here seems to be adding to the intrigue.

Chapter 3.
12 hours before the Cage, Age 31

Oh, wow. Okay. If the rest of this is like I have read so far......
Then this is going to be a very Fascinating read!

This was amazing! Review coming up. I just realized I got so caught up in the reading that I forgot to highlight stuff. Probably for the best though since I would probably ruin some twisty stuff.

Fuck.

This is really getting good. The odd way that the book was set up made getting past the first thirty pages or so a little bit of a drag, but it ramped up after about page 50. I really wish I didn't have to cook dinner!

This one is going to be finished by the end of the night. For sure.

This is a different kind of book, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. The chapters are just a couple of pages, and there's a lot of flipping between perspectives and time. It's not really confusing, but it's just... weird.

But the writing is good. And the characters are intriguing. Especially the H.

This is dark, and maybe it's a romance, but it's not a typical dark romance.
