This is of course an audible story but it has helped me survive work all week and it has been perfect for pride month. Only issue? I'm so close to finishing it a second time

Kinda creeped me out

I will probaly DNF this book.

The pacing is so off.

It is a struggle, but I kinda want to like it because I love Jane Eyre, you know?

Incredibly dull so far. Which is weird because it's a retelling, like captivate me somehow, would you?

This is a bit of a slow start. And not subtle.

I’m at such a climactic point and yet I have “work” and “life” to deal with 😭

Fantastic to read a book that’s scary/shocking enough to get you (the hand cutting cliffhanger!) but you can read it at night happily bc none of the actual fears (🔥) are your own.

Otoh it means I got way too little sleep last night bc I was busy reading haha.
