Status Updates From Ten Thousand Light-Years Fr...

It is only pure stubbornness not to fail to finish a book which is keeping me going with this one. Apparently the author was a woman writing how she believed male writers wrote and in that regard the stories are not very complimentary of male authors of the 60s and 70s.

So now it's 8ft tall women from Capella, whose hobbies include very violently raping Earthmen...

So far not impressed. The author seems obsessed with sex and female nudity. I'm on the 3rd story. If none of the stories are to my liking, this will be going to a charity shop.

Seemed very promising but not keen on the crudeness which has crept in. Hopefully this is just characteristic of the monologue of the obnoxious xenophobic prat in the first story.

I don't know if Tiptree at this level is too edgy for me. Am I not edgy enough for short form Tiptree???
