Status Updates From The Finisher (Peter Diamond...

This isn't working for me. I'm almost three hours into the book and nothing has happened yet. That's a little unfair perhaps. Peter Lovesey has given me a good tour or Bath, shared some nuggets from it's history, shared long-distance running techniques and given and given a good description of taking part in the Bath Half run. He's also introduced the main characters. But I'm bored and out of sympathy with Diamond.

The opening scene with Diamond and the wall planner fell flat. I'm interested in the runner though, so I'll keep going.
