Launch is set for January eighth. Hopefully I'll have the last of the beta reads in the next few days and I'll be able to get everything together on time..

I just completed the first draft of this and i'm looking for a couple of beta readers. Anyone interested?

Today I continue reading through for continuity. I am double checking that timelines don't fold over themselves and character development is linear.

Starting to get the story wrapped up. Then I'll need to go fill in a few blanks and do the first real readthrough.
I'll be looking for Alpha and Beta readers soon.

Doing a quick run-through looking for inconsistencies. Found some...

I have done something I haven't done in my previous books. And it was a lot harder than I thought. I killed a main character. The character needed to die... but it is still really hard to do.

Obviously, yesterday was a good writing day. I'm a little over 71k words. I'm at the point where I'm wrapping up the story lines... the arcs are coming back down. Probably 20k more words.

Don't forget, my blog will have excerpts this week and next, and I have another book with a sale price starting Saturday, 7 November.

It's almost NaNoWriMo... Maybe I jumped the gun and started writing too early. :)

Look for clips on my blog next week, and possibly the following week.

Lots of ideas kicking around on this one. I will be posting a few passages on my blog next week (M,W,F). They may or may not make the final book.
BTW, the percentage above is actually a word count. 100k is my initial target, and then I wlll start the major edits. The goal is to have a "beta" of the book at the end of November (NaNoWriMo).

I'll be looking for beta readers at that time. Volunteers? Anyone?

I might start posting a few excerpts on my blog next month. Of course, they would still be subject to change before actual release of the book. I think I'm on track to have it out before the end of the year!

Was able to write over 6000 words yesterday. Good progress.

I'm writing it and it's still surprising me...

Just ran across several major plot twists. This is getting interesting.

The writing is coming along on this. It has been a different experience. On the previous stories, I went from front to back, and didn't skip around much. This time, I'm envisioning scenes, and I have to see how they fit together.

It's fun and an interesting change of pace.

Hopefully this one will be ready around the middle of December or the first of the year.
