Status Updates From La casa de Mango Street

Ok…so turns out I did not read an excerpt from this book in my creative writing class. We read an excerpt called “Eleven” from another one of Sandra Cisneros books…but it’s ok lowkey, the book is good

I feel like each chapter could be deeply analyzed. I just finished the chapter: "Laughter" and it is a good example of sibling relationships and how complex and exclusive they are

I think each chapter is interesting. I like that they don't really build off of each other, they are their own stories about living on Mango street
