Status Updates From Who We Could Be

This might be the slowest burn in a stand-alone I’ve ever read. There’s not really even a spark yet; forget a flame! 💁🏾‍♀️😆

The ending was cute. I like that the coming out process was smooth for Tessa and Monty when they shared the news with Tessa's family. I have a hard time believing that her brother, Mike, knew that the girls were gay. That came out of left field.

I had some issues with the writing in this book, but the story was cute and I enjoyed Tessa and Monty's relationship. This book was three stars for me.

Tessa is a great girlfriend for wanting to always be there for Monty no matter what. And for wanting to protect Monty from her parents. I'd like to know why Monty's relationship with her parents is so dysfunctional.

Now I understand why Tessa and Gus never had sex and I'm completely okay with it. I'll eat my words from the update where I complained about that. 😆

Tessa and Monty's relationship is so tender, a dynamic that I enjoy. 😁
