The ending was cute. I like that the coming out process was smooth for Tessa and Monty when they shared the news with Tessa's family. I have a hard time believing that her brother, Mike, knew that the girls were gay. That came out of left field.

I had some issues with the writing in this book, but the story was cute and I enjoyed Tessa and Monty's relationship. This book was three stars for me.

Now I understand why Tessa and Gus never had sex and I'm completely okay with it. I'll eat my words from the update where I complained about that. 😆

Tessa and Monty's relationship is so tender, a dynamic that I enjoy. 😁

"Taking Tessa’s arm made something warm buzz in my chest, like lazy, contented bees, drunk on nectar" More foreshadowing, huh? I wish that Monty would get a clue that she likes her best friend. 😆😂 Why doesn't she at least have an idea about her feelings for Tessa?!

Reading about the girls eating poutine on their practice date made me want to try it someday.

'Ford, when is anything about you? You never want to be the center of attention or feel like you’re taking something away from someone else. For once, just let me do this for you.' Aww, that was sweet of Tessa to say! I'm excited to read more about the girls' practice date. 😊

I don't know how much to say about the fake dating trope, but it looks like there's going to be one. This had better be cute! Lol!

I appreciate that Monty had an emotional reaction to some of the changes in her life. And that her emotions led to her needing comfort from Tessa. She experienced a lot of change in a short period of time, which would impact most people.

I'm glad that Tessa and Gus' friendship is still intact. 😊

I also like that Gus is a great cook. That's a cool touch and I like my gender roles dead. 😉

I thought Tessa and Gus would need more time to process their breakup. That could mean that their relationship was over--in a sense--before their breakup.

Monty and Gus had a sweet conversation during their picnic at the lake with Tessa. I like that Monty told Gus that he's a good guy and like a brother to her. He showed support for Monty's sexual orientation too. Glad that I finally got to read about that!😍
