I sense that this euphoric night of communal bliss is about to be upended. Maybe the real monster(s) will start to show. Or if the caravan's notion of "safety" holds, we may never know!

This is a truly incredible book thus far. I hope the last half doesn't disappoint. The depth of emotional and psychological insight here is astounding - Bikker understands humans and the potential monsters within. My question: who is the monster, really? I honestly don't have the answer or even a real clue, which makes this all the more exhilarating to read!
