okay finished. this volume was a major step up from the previous one with a pretty decent new setting and more focus on the new likable characters from the previous volume. also liked how they resolved the previous volumes less then great drama so curious how series will continue story wise.

Wow…. I can understand that self esteem can mess with a person’s mind, but Jade literally gave Ruri a fancy scale by his heart. She doesn’t have self esteem issues; instead, she is just an idiot.

Dear god, I hate the UI for Goodreads. I hit the wrong button and it ate my update. Anyway, finished main book, got enraged at the “cliffhanger” ending that was just “I’m ending the book before the resolution of a major plot point just to annoy the reader and drag it out to the next book like an asshole!” The pacing and choices for which plot points to resolve when and how suck. Also, Ruri is stupid.

Jesus Christ, why is Ruri so stupid so often?! She’s supposed to be a college student who studied her butt off to get into a top university and she misses things an elementary school student wouldn’t. She really seems like she lost her ability to think in this novel. She’s not the only one putting on the dunce cap though.
