The level of frustration and anger I have in me rn is unbelievable.

I haven’t been this mad over a book in a long while.
Even the really shitty ones. Which this is turning out to be.

I may have to start chapter skimming at this point.

One minute she’s freaking out after no longer having the bubble requiring the presence of at least one of the guys, and the next she’s sneaking out a window, whilst still healing from mortal wounds, off to who knows where.

What bugs me right this second is the boring fucking information and povs, and the inconsistency, mainly of the fmc.

Last book she kept moaning about wanting more pain and shit to feel alive.

Now she’s a whiny piece of shit about any kind of pain and how she can’t stand pain. ????

It’s so at odds with her character progression so far.
Even if it’s reasonable due to her past abuse.

Ugh

Most likely going to skim some proper honest reviews after this, just to commiserate

I KNOW I’m not the only one struggling through this shit rn.
It’s been making me question the sanity of my past self when I read this shit.

The fmc losing her virginity scene was so meh.

And honestly confusing to read,
Thane the wolf alter ego or consciousness has prob been my fave character, out of all these shitty characters.

But even that didn’t improve anything.

I hate the fmc, I hate the mmcs, I hate the bad guys, and I hate this author and this writing.

I didn’t really notice or mind in the other books but this one seems to hop from one pov to another too fucking often.
Also prob has to do with my building frustrations the entire time I forced myself to read this series so far.

Even when I’m not reading this shit, I’m thinking about how quickly I can finish this so I can be done with it..and consequently not have to ever think about this shit story ever again

This may be the worse book in this series.

First, that entire chapter or whatever with that Raef queen.
After reading how shitty and stupid she was in the fourth book too. I really did not give a fuck for her sob story in this one. Especially as that being the start to this book

I love a good alpha-male MC, but pax is really really melting my brain in this book, in the worst way. Continuously locking the FMC inside, not allowing her to speak up, and treating mortals/servants like crap. Like a very spoiled princeling with no compassion for others

Multiple POVs is amazing, but having to read a POV from an evil character you hate? That’s a special form of torture.
