Status Updates From Agustina de Aragón

Gail has the uncanny ability to draw you into her stories without realizing you've been hypnotized. Her characters are rich, full of drama and feel so real, despite the fact they lived a couple of hundred years ago. I can't wait to finish the novel, but by that time I'm sure I'll be depressed that it ended. That's what a great writer does - making you want more.

I actually finished this a few days ago but need to do my review of Immortality and this one. Perhaps I need a big bottle of ketchup (catch up).

It is 1807, four years after the marriage, and Juan and Agustina are concerned about the French troop movements.

I am enjoying this.

I just finished chapter 5. There was the wedding and then the trip that Juan took up north.

I am originally from Louisiana, so the mention of the Louisiana Purchase brought back memories of the Louisiana History classes in Junior High School.

This is getting off to a good start, piquing interest.
