I reflect on my many places I have lived, while it not being solely being about myself, I have not stayed and worked through hard things. Being past that initial stage of that, I am grateful for the friendships that I have gained in me being staying put. The walls of stability are not a prohibition but a place of protection.

I have had this book on my shelf for a while, with one chapter read. It’s been surprising and humbling me in the topic of stability.

Being rooted in a place forces you into obligation of friendship rather than duty free friendships. Our world has been deeply battered by this truth. Excited to read this book!
