Being past that initial stage of that, I am grateful for the friendships that I have gained in me being staying put. The walls of stability are not a prohibition but a place of protection.

I have had this book on my shelf for a while, with one chapter read. It’s been surprising and humbling me in the topic of stability.
“The purpose of place is to create security, to develop identity, and to exercise skilled mastery.”
Being rooted in a place forces you into obligation of friendship rather than duty free friendships. Our world has been deeply battered by this truth. Excited to read this book!
