Status Updates From The Locked Garden

The ending was very disappointing. The writing also seemed a bit stilted, but perhaps that's because it's for 12-year-old readers. It's a good story and the characters are well-defined, if not described fully physically. I particularly hated the character Aunt Maud. She was truly wicked and immature. It could have been so much more, though. If I could do 2.5 stars, I would, as it's slightly better than OK.
