I usually only add books to my smut list if it’s ACTUAL good smut

Which this surely was not
Certainly not besides the first examination

So I changed my mind about adding it to that list
Despite the copious and overdone amounts of sex scenes

I don’t care at all for any of these fucking so called MCs

I’m not looking forward to reading more about these particular aliens

Book one had them boring as fucking hell

The mmcs weren’t even that

I had hopes for Dramian
But then everyone else got a taste of the fmc
Including the captain
And after that
It was basically all about him. Yawn.

Apparently it’s also six hundred pages ????

I thought four hundred of this book was long but it went by pretty quickly
Esp since literally nothing substantial or interesting happened after the I first the chapters or so

Just repetitive and filled with alien sex and alien sexual parts
As well as that stupid plot about the glob boss bad guy
The poor cows

The baby Jesus trope

Ngl
I am slightly tempted to read book two though
If only to see if it’s any better or worse than this book bc you never know

But I literally have such low expectations it will improve let alone be as endurable as this book barely was

I don’t believe any of these raving lunatic reviewers who praised book two

It’s hard to believe the writing would’ve improved that much and from what little I can surmise
Book twos plot is basically copied and pasted from book one

More on the utterly shit writing that just keeps getting worse and worse

How they fucked up her name and “changed” it to beh’thani instead of Bethany
And yet they’ll switch and use both interchangeably like there wasn’t a fucking alien barrier language already established
Why the fuck is this writing so shit

So poorly written

Less than a hundred pages left
Assuming this doesn’t end with a cliffhanger

And we barely know the characters
THEY barely know each other

I’m annoyed

I laughed aloud at that mating dance scene
And the following cake scene

I can’t even

But rn
They’re curing her and transforming her by breeding her
Wow
What a surprise

The sarcasm is lackluster too
Everything is meh now

I couldn’t care less

At most I’ll give this two stars
Maybe two and a half

The lack of editing is evident

The storyline and plot is mostly predictable and overdone tropes

the writing has been steadily gone to shit

The dialogue and intimate scenes are yawn worthy

I’ve lost almost all my interest

So the prologue was an interesting choice to start the story off

Then the first five or six chapters were just utter shit imo (the fmcs pov and inner monologue, her behaviors and everything)

Then it got better I guess when Dramien was introduced

The examination scene was hotter than it has any right to be

The language learning device they gave her is creative

I hope it continues to be this good..
