Un libro muy tierno y muy dulce donde los protagonistas en todo momento se quieren y admiten sus sentimientos rápido. Muy romántico todo como la protagonista. Aunque la trama secundaria de los barcos me ha aburrido un poco. Un libro un poco simple sin grandes dramas le pongo 3.5 estrellas redondeando a 4.

Mi ejemplar tiene 452 páginas así que he avanzado un poco más de la mitad. Es el primer libro que leo de la autora y me está gustando que es muy dulce y tanto ella como el desde el primer momento no niegan sus sentimientos. Por otro lado como "pero" es que veo muchos gazapos históricos. Y los protagonistas se saltan las convenciones sociales a la torera. Pero La historia de amor me está gustando mucho.

Heartly is 3rd partner, and tried to take Rem hostage. Sammie showed up and talked him out of it and arranged for him to be treated kindly since only guilty of theft. Sammie got to be Heroine for Rem. Heartly going to West Indies to try to save the men sold into slavery. Merchant killed pirate. Rem & Drake buy Heartly's business and go in together.

Rem and Boyd are deciding to get out of the spy jobs.

Sammie and Rem are betrothed. Drake is against it, but Alex is convincing him. Sammie is at her country home waiting for Rem to come. After hearing from an escaped captain, Rem knows the lost ship crews are being sold as slaves and there is another partner they must find. Not finding evidence at Viscount's home.

Another ship went down this time the Viscount's. Sammie went to offer aid, and saw a man with him that she had seen before with another lord. He is likely the missing link.

Viscount just gave Sammie a gold/diamond necklace, however in this time period, no lady would accept such a gift unless betrothed. Rem is smitten and struggling with his feelings and his mission. Drake & Alex's baby was born while Rem was there, and the emotional display floored him.

She wants to be the heroine now that she has found her hero.

She met him at Almack's and he kissed her silly more than once; or was it the other way around? She overhead men talking about sailors not wanting to risk their lives and became overly worried about Drake's danger if he captained one of his ships. She decided to snoop around the docks herself in boys clothes.

Rem realizes that Sammie may have insider knowledge about the shipbuilders because of her brother's shipbuilding company.

Sammie has determined that Rem is her future husband and is undaunted that he is not on board. She tries to serve brandy to him, fills the glasses to full and choaked on it. He is activating his network to find out information. He is amused by Sammie at this point.

Sammie traveling to London for season, coach breaks wheel. While waiting for aid, Remmington acts her hero and then is tasked with finding out why British merchant ships and their cargo are disappearing.

Sammy is the MOST stupid, naive heroine I have ever encountered. If you told her not to go into a room because there was a monster in there, he would throw up her hands in glee and say, “Really, let me see!” and rush into the room.
