i wish yoi could see this wide shot rn because they both look SO obviously nervous!!!! yoi holding her arm and looking away and ichimura scratching the back of his neck, it’s all so clear to us but not to her

okay first of all, bi ichimura confirmed, he literally said the quiet part out loud
second of all, i think it’s easier to say “i like looking at her face” than “i feel drawn to her and i want to see her be vulnerable and express all these different emotions”. i don’t think ichimura understands the depth of his feelings yet so he’s just defaulting to the surface level observation of her beauty

there's so many instances of ichimura paring back his initial facial expressions and covering his mouth to try to hide his more vulnerable emotions, so to see him do that so OBVIOUSLY here with his shirt and blushing too????? he's just as nervous and new to this as yoi is, and that leveling of the playing field is really nice to see as a contrast to how ichimura usually acts in school
