Ok so I tried the audio book but the voice is just… not for me. So I’ll need to get the hard copy which could be a while.

I don't recommend starting an epic fantasy trilogy after becoming a new parent... Unless you don't mind reading at a glacial pace 😅 (Still having a great time tho!)

Should I have been surprised that the King died even though it said so (and i missed it) on the back of the book? No. Did I still sit there with my mouth open for about a minute after it happened? Maybe.

I finally made serious progress after an unexpected good night's sleep. Who knew sleep deprivation made it so hard to read epic fantasy? Anyway, this series is already becoming a favorite. I can't wait to read it again and I haven't even finished it the first time yet 😆

It's way too early in the book for me to be this emotionally damaged 🤦‍♀️😭🫠

Also, reading epic fantasy while sleep deprived is very challenging, but I am having an excellent time🫡

This world building is SO comprehensive and smoothly incorporated. This story has been a real treat so far!
