Although words matter, we cannot let our country off the hook by only changing the names on buildings while keeping existing systems in place.

My friend, it is too late for our country to simply talk about equality, especially when race is involved.

Equity does not mean success is guaranteed; it does mean a persons race will not make it less available .

Empathy is an action word, not a feeling word.

Our normal comes from how we are cultured in the world.. we develop our ideals about normal by what we have experienced over time.

You claim no privilege over others. But you do not stop to ask the equestrian why these persistent gaps continue. You are a benefiting bystander.

Im simply trying to close the gap between us. After all, I have spent the last 45 years learning “how to be with you” and hearing your perspective

but your potential discomfort can no longer be the reason we don’t talk about race.
