Status Updates From SUMMARY: APPLES NEVER FALL ...

DNF. The narrator has a screechy voice and I could not continue. Seems to be a theme with narrators for this author’s books. I’ll wait until it’s a mini series. 😂

So difficult for me to review Lianne Moriarty’s latest book as I am a great fan and have a genuine positive bias. However, this isn’t her best book. There is great dialogue and characterisation and intergenerational and family relationships but the book felt laboured. The plot was pretty thin and the detectives weren’t given more than cameo roles.

That said, I still enjoyed and finished the book.
