I feel like crying, tao xi getting swapped was awful and then his foster parents behaviour with him made me genuinely sad and if this was not enough author dropped " dpn't use yang duole" line ahhhh fuckkkk. I hope my baby gets what he deserve.

Oh oh oh oh my breaking heart. Tao Xi T___T

To have that scene and then hit with this. Why is everything so harsh to you. My heart it hurts. Ouch ouch ouch.

Another thing I’ve been taking note with this novel, are the adults characters outside of Tao Xi’s family. The random restaurant’s owner that asked if he was okay after that arguments scene. The teacher that step-in after knowing the plan to sabotage Tao Xi. The English teacher that knowing his English wasn’t good gave him an easy passage to read. Like. I LOVE THIS.

What I take note of is Tao Xi’s love and care for his sister Tao Le. Even after knowing what happened to him, he still love her and want to care for her. Even after knowing why his family treated him differently, like that resentment doesn’t flow to his little sister. It’s human and it’s real.

🥹 I’m feeling attacked on three fronts on this one. It sometimes remind me of SaYe, sometimes Heartthrob’s CFCF, and sometimes Sunset Boulevard (became ML). Which is to say I LOVE this novel so afar. I love the little mermaid (lol he’s a good friend).

Also this book is what I needed for this month. Hasn’t been able to finish one book this month yet. I feel already that I want this book to be longer.

So far I’m starting to care about MC and wants only for him to archive his longing. :(
