The worldbuilding is insane! What I really like about this book is that the author has developed a very unique magic system.

There are also many original magical creatures that I have never seen in other fantasy novels before.

I loved this book and it really drew me into the storyline straight away with atmospheric descriptions of scenery and locations, and characters that stood out instantly. The storyline is tense and in depth, and the writing style of the author is extremely effective, especially for a sci-fi/fantasy novel. The world the author has created here is extremely impressive and I'm looking forward to reading another from him.
