HOLY SHIT?????? my heart is pounding i am so engrossed in this rn!!!! custas is by far one of the best characters in this story, he has been part of some of the most emotionally satisfying arcs thus far and i cannot wait to see where he goes from here

oh i got CHILLS coco really is the perfect subject for the potential bridging of the brimmed caps’ and pointed caps’ ideologies. she knows what it’s like to yearn to become a witch and now she also knows that so many kids just like her will never have their wishes come true simply bc the knowledge of witchcraft is inaccessible to them. the weight of that unfairness has finally gotten too heavy for her to carry

i LOVE this trend of olly being the one to give agott the necessary tough love lessons!!! and since we saw qifrey run after her i’m hoping they’ll have a heart to heart and bond over how everyone judges them. she needs to learn the value and joy in making magic for HERSELF, not to prove others wrong

the characters leaning outside the panels to get a closer look at the festival????? which is depicted as if it’s in a storybook????? folktales and reality meeting in the middle, the lines so blurred between them it doesn’t even matter which is which anymore????? the meta storytelling is so cool in this manga

……so a star fell in love with a tree huh. interesting. i wonder if we’ll continue to get more from this myth bc there was also the part about the tree offering up its blood and branches right?? but that’s a whole other story with a whole other tree….and also wait witches aren’t born so is this the false myth that outsiders know??
