Hazel was a really short story about an elderly Australian woman during covid times I'm Australia. Dignity was a more interesting story about Indonesian foreign domestic workers (in Australia I believe?). The story highlights of the worker misses her child, misses out on the child's upbringing and emotional connection, physical abuse, how bosses think they're helping but they don't understand at all

Story of an Autralian teenage skater of Vietnamese descent. He attends a party in the suburbs. He wants to do risky skater tricks in order to become famous on Youtube. He thinks about his mom and his grandfather. He thinks about his dangerous friend Gav. So many thoughts are in his head.

First story is a historical fiction on Annah the Javanese. Paul Gauguin is famously known for his Tahiti paintings, but when he returned to France he also did a painting of a Javanese woman called Annah who was his mistress (?). It's a mystery how Annah came to be in France. The idea of the story is great, but the execution unfortunately not. The writing really didn't impress me. But I will continue reading.
