..he scooped some foam up and piled it on top of Bai Jinyi’s head.
Bai Jinyi looked up, and Jiang Shen spread some foam on his brows.
[..]Jiang Shen sighed. “Like this, you’ve become an old man.”
Bai Jinyi did not speak, but piled some bubbles up on top of Jiang Shen’s head as well.
“Together.” Bai Jinyi turned his head, pressing a kiss to Jiang Shen’s lips. “We’ll grow old with each other.”

😭

“I don’t know how you, a ballet dancer, could like a boxer! It’s so vulgar!”
Jiang Shen was now aware that this senior of his was someone with a vicious tongue but soft heart. He did not get angry with Liu Xingzhi, only refuting deliberately, “Shixiong, you’re the vulgar one, you only like Mr. Pu’s money.”

👏

“Bai Jinyi.” Jiang Shen’s voice was slightly husky as he maintained his kneeling posture, his words soft and trembling, “I love dancing, just like how I love this rich, fertile earth, the joy of harvest, the drizzle in the mountains, and my friends and family.”
“But I love you even more.” He swallowed, each word clear and direct. “My soul is forever unable to be free, because it belongs to you.”

😭

“It’s only a confession. If you’re a man, you can’t be afraid. So what if you fail? There are plenty of other fish in the sea!”
“That’s different. I only like one person, and it’s him.” Jiang Shen pouted at Liu Xingzhi. “Shixiong, you only like money. That’s too vulgar.”
Liu Xingzhi was speechless.

K.O.

“What happened to your face?!” Jiang Shen raised his voice for once. His words resounded in the interior of the car, “Who hit you?!!”

Who hit you moment, but he asks this to the boxer 😂

AWWW the ending for the main story is so sweet damn it!

But yes, so so excited to get to Jiang Shen's first dance!!!

“I will win all the upcoming matches.” Bai Jinyi swung his fist.
Su Fang laughed. “What about your pre-match prayer?”
With his back to her, Bai Jinyi raised his arm. A white ribbon from a ballet shoe was tied around his wrist.

Unrelated, but this was pretty much me throughout this chapter: 👀👀👀

“Go and dance, Jiang Shen.” Liu Xingzhi looked down at his junior. His eyes were bright, like fireworks bursting in the sky. “Dance, and show them your soul.”

I fully blame Salad Days for making me fall in love with Mongolian culture, and for adding it to my ever growing bucket list of places I hope to visit one day.

[spoilers for this update]

AHHH SWAN LAKE SWAN LAKE SWAN LAKE!!!

“Bai Jinyi. I love dancing, just like how I love this rich, fertile earth, the joy of harvest, the drizzle in the mountains, and my friends and family.”
“But I love you even more.” He swallowed, each word clear and direct. “My soul is forever unable to be free, because it belongs to you.”

“I think about you as well.”
Bai Jinyi asked softly, “What about me?”
He waited for a while, but did not receive an answer. Jiang Shen was already asleep.
Bai Jinyi looked down. He studied the other boy’s peaceful, sleeping face for a very long time. Closing his eyes, he pressed his lips gently against Jiang Shen’s forehead.

AHHH MY HEART 🥺🥺🥺

The parallels in different worlds. Oof!
But, may I say, I can see so many ways I would have adjusted this story if I was the author to add sadness, angst, and thriller haha! There's something wrong with me wanting that out of a fluffy book!

Stop it, me! *slaps self* wth is wrong with you!

"Bai Jinyi." Jiang Shen's voice was slightly husky as he maintained his kneeling posture, his words soft & trembling, "I love dancing, just like how I love this rich, fertile earth, the joy of harvest, the drizzle in the mountains, & my friends & family."
"But I love you even more." He swallowed, each word clear & direct. "My soul is forever unable to be free, because it belongs to you."
