Status Updates From The Cowboy and His Runaway ...

Since this is cowboy formal, I’m in a pair of dark dress jeans with a white button-down shirt, a black sports coat, my cowboy boots, and my black dress hat. This is how we do formal here.

The last week or so of a rib injury is tricky. You feel great, but it’s the easiest time to re-injure when you do more than you should.

broke a few ribs a few years back when my horse spooked. Re-broke them when I lifted more than I should have in the barn. I had felt fine. Then it took twice as long to heal.

Most do anyway; you never know what you’ll find in the fields. Coyotes and wolves are common, and cattle rustlers like to push their luck from time to time as well.
