Status Updates From Filler book

putting this on here as I edit because I can. I've edited/rewritten the prologue and the first two chapters so far, and I've started on chapter three

i read so much more fanfiction than actual books so like, why not count it to my reading challenge..

anyway if the fanfic is 10k+ words, i'll just count that as one book
if it's multiple small ones, i'll read like five (or more depending on length) before counting them as a book

Percy has grown up feeling unloved, rejected, and a blot upon his father’s life. His only comforts were the horses in the stable, the books in the library, and his toddler sister who looks at him as if he were her whole universe. And of course, the lingering memories of his mother.

But a secret spoken into the dead of night shifts his whole world, and he learns what it truly means to love someone.

"Well, I've come to realize that maybe the people meant for leading are the people who never wanted to lead. Those who want to lead tend to grab hold of power too quickly and don't treat it with respect. Those who don't want it tend to shy away from it until they see the value and can respect it."

And they are the only people who can show you how to smile and actually mean it."

Day 2 of having yall ask me five weird, wacky, or logical questions about my WIP! First five questions get answered, one question per person pls. It’s a YA medieval fiction story following a young man named Percy and his fight for his family and his homeland.

"The stars were cold bright specks. Near the horizon in the west, the sky was slightly lighter, but in the east, the dark blue had swirls of purple and even a little pink near the biggest star clusters. It was marvelous. A comet streaked across the night, and Jaycob laid down on the ground. There were no thoughts crowding up his brain like was too familiar a feeling, but instead there was only a blissful peace."

""The sky is . . . blue," Jaycob stared up at the sky.
Crest glanced up. "You're right, the sky is very vibrant, more so than usual."
"Very vibrant," Jaycob continued. "Sky blue with a hint of turquoise, growing darker and less turquoise near the horizon.
Jordyn raised his eyebrows. "You realize you're rambling about the color of the sky?"
"A perfectly normal thing or ramble about," Jaycob retorted."
