A collection of entertaining little mysteries for Philip Trent to solve. Nothing of much consequence but then it is the style that counts and Bentley's Trent books are overflowing with it.

The fourth story was a bit boring but I did learn that facelifts were a thing in 1938 already.
For no good reason I thought they were a much more recent invention

I stopped myself from reading more in this book at the end of last year, so that its short stories might count towards a reading challenge this year. Big mistake! You should always just read what you want and see how it might fit into the challenges you set for yourself. Now after a longggg reading slump I’ve got fresh appetite and will start with these easy delightful detective adventures

Sometimes you buy a book you REALLY REALLY want to read, but then you don’t because you’re waiting for the perfect time to sit down and optimally enjoy it.
Cut to about 3 years later, turns out Monday morning before the hustle of the week with a nice cup of coffee, that’s the perfect time to enjoy it.
This is a selection of short stories. The first one, a genuine tabard, set the tone. Such fun!
