At first I thought the plot twist was lame but it got better with the more detail.
Kiara was never sleeping with Oli. Maddison (chief of police’s daughter) was, and Kiara saw them, so she was extorting him for money.
Maddie was obsessed, planned on running away with him. But he chose his wife. So she stepped out in front of the car causing the crash. Her and her father killed Kiara and hid Maddie in a shed.

Everything is pointing towards Oli having a thing for school students - he’s married to his former student, he wanted a threesome for his 5 year wedding anniversary and the girl arrived dressed in a school uniform, and he’s seeming guilty as hell in regards to Kiara - but then that all seems way to obvious..

Ah god. Oli cheating, spare room, perfume, hair clip.
Why is the detective so weird and shacked up in the hotel room with his gun hidden?
