Status Updates From Days of Hunger (Sons of the...

I'm going to DNF here I think. I feel like I've read all I need to know that I don't like this. I don't understand how so many people gave this such high ratings. Perhaps my standards are just really strict or something. There are many other things that I could be reading and would probably enjoy vastly more. It's too bad because the premise is really great.

I dunno how far I'm gonna make it through this.... Can't even really explain why I'm continuing to read it because it's really just not that good. The simplicity of the writing feels as though it's written for middle grade fiction and not young adult despite some of the themes and situations. I'm unimpressed with the elementary level attraction and Liv. Gabe is only slightly more interesting since he's djinn.

-SIGH- This book has been on my TBR list for ages. I was SO there when I saw a djinn/genie paranormal romance come my way! ...but it's proving to be childish and simply written....
