Status Updates From HellSans

We’re churning through a lot of plot, and I wouldn’t mind a bit more pausing for depth.

Oh. Oh? Oh! I should’ve seen this twist coming, but, as usual, I didn’t. It’s funny how automatically analytical I am in RL, always deducing and lapping up cues to calculate risks and foresee scenarios, but, when reading fiction, I live happily in the moment of the story, just letting myself get carried along.

My brain is hallucinating the reek of the HSA ghetto. The descriptions are disgusting, and I’m certain that’s fully intentional. The HSA are like modern lepers, left to rot.

Trigger warning: this book is not suitable for those with emetophobia.

A lot of nauseating physical descriptions now that naturally come with illness. Close to body horror. Not gratuitous, though. The author is making a point.

Jane is pretty despicable. Good thing I didn’t start with her POV.

Switching to a different POV in part 2, and I’m nervous if I’m going to like it.

Not me crying over the demise of a little blue assistant cyborg. :’(
