Either Carter is playing dumb on purpose cuz she's the REAL big bad. Or yeah seriously writer doesn't know how to write women.
Also seriously Harold dominating every conversation is just... how about men just shut up for a while.

So Echika gets kidnapped AGAIN and basically acts as a beacon for the real heroes to come in and save the day. Really she's supposed to be the main character and is mostly just a lamp with Wifi. All the women in this story act like children save Daria who's the grieving widow. Harold is there to do some male domination through embarrassment/getting into women's minds

Ugh the author believes that phrenology is a valid science saying things like "You could tell he was English by his facial features" NO YOU CAN'T. Most of this book is about actual logic and having this in there is, WTF.
