Status Updates From Catching the Light

“Behind us and within us - each of us, individuals and cultural entities - stands a long line of dreamers, artists, and thinkers.” (pg. 43)

So good, even better than I expected it to be. I picked up this book because I wanted to read some poetry as a reference, as I’m attempting to make a few poems myself. These are more like “meditations” or short essays, but the words sing and I found myself pulled sharply into Joy’s narration.
