Status Updates From Wolverine: Weapon X Gallery...

The collection ends with the gallery of covers (some I think are quite random) and original drawings.

My favourite cover art is for Marvel Comics Presents #79 (which is the same art that’s used for this collection).

Oh and there is an unreleased cover page by Sam Keith.
Though, with all the lines, I’m not quite sure what I’m looking at.

There are scenes from Wolverine comics released in 2001. I’ll read them when I get up to that time.

This little interlude shows Logan wandering through the snow (naked) while Hines cries to Cornelious about Logan's situation.

The doctor assures her it'll all be over soon.

It’s not revealed who was left and who was killed…

The Epilogue is very complimentary. And I agree with quite a bit of it!

Wow oh wow. I did not see that one coming...

But it seems it did the opposite of what they wanted!

Logan breaks into the lab where the trio are…
And we’re not shown what happens next!

I mean, we knew the Professor was a terrible human being but his actions here take the cake.

Hines' screams lead X into the adamantium core.

Weapon X can speak?! He tells Hines he doesn't want her...

The Professor opens the fission!
But whoever he worked for closes it...

And X declares he is Logan! Before killing the Professor...

Apparently those who the Professor works for are clearing house.

And X heads straight for him...

Marvel Comics Presents #81 -
The Professor with Cornelius and Hines hides in the adamantium core room.

Even that is not enough to stop Weapon X...

Marvel Comics Presents #78 -
Logan, Weapon X, has now become a total puppet for the Professor to use as he pleases.

Fitted with wires and receivers, he looks more cyborg than human...

Marvel Comics Presents #79 -
The helmet receiver is so 80s, I was surprised this was written in the 90s.

Even with all that on him, X seemingly breaks free??
Or at least free from his lab prison…

Marvel Comics Presents #76 -
The Professor is eager to have Logan under his control but connecting to his subconscious sees him wake and attack!

The Professor freaks and wants Logan killed.

The monitors show exactly what Logan wants to do to him.

Marvel Comics Presents #77 -
A test that is cruel if you know the kind of person Logan is.

Then he’s left out in the cold and gore all night…

Marvel Comics Presents #74 -
The Professor, the ‘expert’, didn’t know about Logan. And calls others to talk of his displeasure.

Then we see what exactly Logan’s become now…

Marvel Comics Presents #75 -
Dr Cornelius is traumatised by what Logan did but the Professor asks for his trust.

He wants Cornelius to reprogram the ‘mindless murdering animal’ into something that can be controlled.

Marvel Comics Presents #72 -
I found this narration to be quite confusing. It also wasn’t clear if this was before or after the experiment.
Which was flashed to throughout.

I’m guessing after because Logan was having nightmares about it…

Marvel Comics Presents #73 -
Logan didn’t volunteer for this!

Nor did those experimenting on him know he was a mutant with a healing factor.

Why was he chosen then?

I am so excited for this story line. I mean I know (sort of) how this goes but I want to know what the differences are.

I dislike not having page breaks but for this one, at least I understand why.
