okay truly and seriously was not expecting a book about dumplings to be THIS white. i understand and appreciate that many different cultures have their dumpling. but why are there SO FEW ASIAN DUMPLINGS when ASIAN DUMPLINGS are like, the UR DUMPLING??

was expecting a truly more global lineup, like the dumplings around the world mentioned in one of these. so far it's felt kinda white though? and it's less a food book as it is a personal essays book. i don't hate it but expectations were certainly adjusted a certain way in its presentation.
