The Harvard Study of adult Development started in 1938 and is still going today. The study started as two separate studies: 1 on Harvard sophomores and another on inner city kids in Boston. Later the two groups of participants merged and the study expanded to include the children and spouses of these individuals.

This is a good read. It feels a little self-helpy (the subtitle is literally “Create a More Meaningful and Satisfying Life”) but it’s odd that there’s such a stigma around reading a book on how to live a better life.
