Status Updates From Dioses de jade y sombra

I somehow find myself coming back to this book, time and time again, ever since I first read it four years ago. Every year, during a particularly tumultuous time in my life, I seek solace in the tapestry of the universe that Moreno-Garcia has woven. A timeless tale filled with adventure and romance, imbued with an enduring sense of hope, Gods of Jade and Shadow will always remain a triple-platinum in my household.

I listened to the audiobook. Not sure if it was the narrator but the writing felt off for some reason. Kind of awkward and formal.

I don’t think I liked the plot very much either. I was reading for book club but after I didn’t finish in time it took me another 4 days to finish the last hour.
