I can see why this is enjoyed by those who like it. But it's not in my interest wheel. The writing is engaging. Plot is plotting. Characters are Charactering. Writing is doing its thing. This is definitely a it's not you it's me.

I am having a hard time with this book. The story structure is so confusing that I am not sure I know what’s happening most of the time. Flashbacks within flashbacks are breaking my brain. But also, every. Single. Person. Gets a backstory. Why in the name of J.R.R. Tolkien does every minor character need their full story told?! I will not DNF. I will not DNF. I will not DNF…
