*sighs* definitely not my favourite of the series, it actually made me very upset. so much so i had to step away and wonder if i really wanted to keep going but i was invested. i’m glad it’s over.

if beau and stefan’s reunion with their mother had had a different outcome, i think i would have dropped this series forever. as it played, i feel hollow and a little numb, which is infinitely better.

i truly wish these books put less emphasis on familial drama. i have little hope for how this situation will resolve itself.

as someone with really poor familial bonds, this series makes me feel guilty for severing contact with them.

wouldn’t it be enough for these books to be about the protagonists falling in love? this is exhausting.

and yet i’m too invested in hendrix to give up before his book. 🙄
