Status Updates From Homunculus (Narbondo, #2)

Very enjoyable, but it’s not gonna top my favourite book - and its cousin - The Anubis Gates. It’s less cohesive, more chaotic in flavour, even if all these characters bumping into each other, running around with different boxes and other prizes, are leading to a finale that ties it all together. The energy is great - but a Fantasy or SF novel probably can’t give me the story Anubis Gates gave me.

A blimp floats uneasily through a short Prologue, a scientist tries other follow it on the ground...and I'm off on this adventure. Ashbless mentioned already, and a character named Powers...

This showed up. So, I'm going to bump the Horace McCoy I had lined up, just briefly, and read the Perry Rhodan book, and then go to this. Two people at the website read The Anubis Gates, and since they both enjoyed it, I took a recommendation from each of them (should have Royal Flash soon). This is actually a book most Anubis Gates fans get steered to, as something similar. At long last, I am getting to it!
