All that being said, I already know Marcella is a vampire and is the villain. But she’s such a romantic villain. I don’t know if I’ll hate her when the time comes. I’m utterly charmed.

Okay. I can see how I could have read this book without engaging in it. It’s entertaining and it’s fast paced but I don’t know if it stays with you after. It’s a classic beach read.

For I book I supposedly read 2 years ago, I do not remember anything about the book. None of the main plot points. There’s a rape scene (off screen) in the book and I don’t remember. Maybe because it’s flashback? I’d like to go back to my 2024 reads to see if I was in any way moved enough to remember the books I read then. And this book is interesting. Wow. Okay.

I’m supposedly rereading this but I don’t remember completing this reading experience and there’s no reading trail past 33% in Goodreads reading activity. I need more urban fantasy / paranormal / fantasy books back in my rotation. Contemporary reads are drowning me in boredom.
