So, here I am barely even starting this book and one of the MMC’s shows up to a crime scene where a 5 month old baby was kidnapped. The first thing he does when he see’s the victim’s mother is call her a “hot mama” and comment on her breasts being fake. Not to mention the weird sexual shit he says to the other MMC. This is supposed to be the romantic love interest? Are you fucking kidding me? Gross.

This spicy scene isn't as jarring as the first but I'm still not interested in being there for this. Skipping now.

This is hurting with how unhealthy of an interaction this is. I'm putting this to the side. Not sure if I can continue reading.

On one side, we have a guy who wants a deeper relationship being pressured into "meaningless" sex and the other side we have a recovering alcoholic being pressured into imbibing again.

This makes my heart hurt.

This interaction breaks my heart and cements how unhealthy a romantic relationship between them would be.
