i think my main quibble is the main character doesn't have much of a personality apart from being a chatterbox

hyperverbal man talks a lot while little else happens; hopefully the plot picks up soon. i had high hopes as, in theory, the book has the ingredients for a great read, but the recipe hasn't quite come together to grab me yet
