I'm not enjoying this one as much as I have the previous books in this series, so it's hard to make any progress. May end up pausing this one and trying again later.

So many callbacks to 'The Firebird and Other Stories'. Need to reread 'The Imp and Mr. Sunshine' as a snack now.

I just skipped half a sex scene bc it was dragging on too long and then had to roll my eyes pretty much right after that bc they started talking about not deserving each other again. All that's keeping me here is the sunk cost fallacy and that i want to know what happened/who did it 😩

I still think R Cooper uses too many words. Romance books shouldn't be this long or at least not this slow-paced
