please scifi romance authors be more creative this is just the same story again with the same plot beats and same issues as all the other alien romances, this is boring!!

also, why do authors feel the need to make height differences so steep? dude's already 7ft tall, she could be higher on the average scale, she could even be tall. she's already 5'2, he could be closer to the human average, yanno? he's already pretty obviously alien, we don't need any further species differentiation.
